Huawei quietly unveiled the Huawei Y8p through its website. The hardware of the Y8p shares that of the Enjoy 10s, which is assumed to be all about regional availability. As far as name conventions go, it looks to be an upgrade to the Y7p which was launched earlier this year.

The Huawei Y8p has a 6.3-inch OLED display with a 1080p resolution with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Housed in the waterdrop notch is its 16MP front camera.

The rear features its three cameras which are led by a 48MP main camera. This is joined by an 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor.

Under the hood is a Kirin 710F chipset along with 4GB RAM/6GB RAM and 128GB storage. A Huawei NM memory card slot is available for storage expansion up to 256GB. The RAM availability, on the other hand, will depend on the market. Some will have the 4GB and others will have 6GB.

The Huawei Y8p gets its juice from a 4000mAh battery pack with 10W fast charging. Yup, just 10W, sadly. It does charge through a USB-C port, at least, and has a 3.5mm headphone jack up top.

Out of the box, the new device runs on Android 10 with EMUI 10.1 on top. It also has Huawei Mobile Services to take the place of Google’s own mobile services, which has become the norm for new Huawei devices.

The Huawei Y8p is available in Midnight Black and Breathing Crystal. The device is priced in Belarus for BYN 650 (or around PHP 13,670). It comes with a 99% discount on a Huawei Band 4 Pro as a pre-order bonus.

The new device was also spotted on the Huawei website in Myanmar with no price. We’ll just have to wait and see if this new Y device will be brought to the Philippines as well. The company also unveiled the Huawei Y8s earlier this month.

He would then transition to focus more on the world of tech which has also began his journey into learning more about this world. That said though, he still has the mentality of "as long as it works" for his personal gadgets.
