MediaTek recently announced the Dimensity 1000+, which offer a number of improvements over its current flagship 5G SoC, the Dimensity 1000.

Dimensity 1000 2Seemingly focused on the gaming aspect, the new Dimensity 1000+ now supports 144Hz displays of up to FHD+ resolution. It can also upscale SDR to HDR10+ content using its dedicated MiraEngine.

It features 5G UltraSave which reduces the power consumption of the modem to preserve battery life by dynamically switching between high and low bandwidth modes depending on what apps need.

It also allows Dual SIM Phones to connect to 5G with both SIM Cards, and can seamlessly switch between 4G and 5G depending on the quality of the connections.

Dimensity 1000HyperEngine 2.0 is in charge of scaling CPU and GPU frequencies as well as managing RAM to ensure optimal performance.

Dimensity 1000 3To minimize latency for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi linked devices, the chipset uses a technology that makes it resistant to interference. This is crucial for those who use Bluetooth controllers and headphones when gaming.

Dimensity 1000+ uses four Cortex-A77 cores and four A55 cores. It uses a Mali G77 MP9 GPU and supports LPDDR4X RAM in quad-channel mode.
