Meizu just announced its newest flagships, the Meizu 17 and Meizu 17 Pro. Both run on the Snapdragon 865 SoC and feature 90Hz displays.
Both devices sport a 6.6-inch HDR10+ compliant Super AMOLED display with a punch hole that houses a 20MP sensor, and Meizu’s own mEngine 3.0 haptic engine.
You get 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM on the vanilla and 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM on the Pro. Both come with either 128GB or 256GB of UFD 3.1 storage.
As for cameras, both use a 64MP Sony IMX686 main sensor. The vanilla also comes with a 12MP wide-angle lens, an 8MP ultrawide unit, and a 5MP macro shooter. As for the Pro, it’s an 8MP telephoto lens for up to 8x lossless zoom, a 32MP ultra-wide unit, and a Samsung S5K3 3D ToF Camera.
Both run on Flyme 8.1 on top of Android 10 and pack a 4,500mAh battery with 30W fast-charging. The Pro variant is also able to do 27W wireless charging.
Meizu is also releasing a Collector’s Edition of the Pro variant and an Aircraft Carrier version of the vanilla Meizu 17.
