Realme Announces 32″ and 43″ Smart TVs with Custom SoC

As part of growing its AIoT ecosystem, realme has also announced its very first Smart TV’s coming in at 32″ (HD+) and 43″ (FHD) variants. Both offer support for up to HDR10 and up to 400 nits of brightness.

Both feature a bezel-less LED display, Dolby Speakers, and a Chroma Boost feature, which was formerly found on smartphones. It enhances overall brightness, color, contrast, purity, and clarity.

Realme partnered with MediaTek in creating a customized quad-core chipset (MSD6683) that uses four Cortex A53 cores and a Mali-470 MP3 GPU along with a gigabyte of RAM, and 8GB of storage.

Realme Smart TV’s also come with Android TV 9 Pie and Google Assistant pre-installed. It means you get Netflix, YouTube, Prime, LiveTV, Disney+, and more. Just choose from over 5,000 apps in the Play Store.

realme Smart TV remoteThe Google Assistant can be activated using a button on the remote control. You can ask questions, set reminders, and basically operate the TV without having to fiddle with the remote. Chromecast also comes built-in.

For connectivity, realme Smart TVs offer three HDMI ports, two USB ports, a dedicated LAN port, and a tuner port. These TV’s only support 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, as well as up to Bluetooth 5.

Realme CEO, Madhav Sheth mentioned that the TV’s are made in India to bring their prices down without sacrificing quality. A 100W soundbar was also announced, though it’s without any details for availability.
