After being initially released as a Japan-exclusive, the Sharp Aquos Zero 2, a phone with a 240Hz refresh rate, is now available in Taiwan.

The Sharp Aquos Zero 2 has a 6.4-inch OLED waterdrop display with its fingerprint scanner under it. Housed in the waterdrop is its 8MP selfie camera with f/2.4 aperture. In addition, it is protected by Gorilla Glass 6.

At the rear is its surprisingly disappointing dual camera with a 12MP main lens with f/1.7 aperture along with a 20MP f/2.4 ultrawide camera.

It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It gets its juice from an underwhelming 3,130mAh battery pack.

The Sharp Aquos Zero 2 is priced at TWD 21,990 (around PHP 37,100) and was announced in partnership with the Taiwanese Sharp-sponsored esports team, ahq eSports Club.

There’s still no news as to whether the phone will be offered in other countries apart from Taiwan, but it’s a step forward.
