Canon released a FREE software that will let you use select Canon cameras as a dedicated webcam without the use of any third-party software or a capture card.
EOS Webcam Utility Beta is an easy-to-use plug-and-play option for users who don’t have access to a Canon camera with clean HDMI out, or for those who simply don’t need any of the other benefits that capture cards or streaming software offer.
The tool works over a USB Connection, and is compatible with the following models:
