Acer Refreshes Swift 5 Notebook with Next-Gen Intel Core Processors

Acer has just announced the refreshed Swift 5 notebook and it features the latest Intel Core processors and up to an NVIDIA GeForce MX350 GPU.

The Acer Swift 5 has a high-grade magnesium-lithium and magnesium-aluminum chassis that weighs in at under 1kg. It comes in two elegant colors with gold accents – Mist Green and Safari Gold.

The notebook has a 14-inch FHD IPS touchscreen display with 300 nits brightness and 72% of the NTSC gamut. It has support for multi-finger gestures for an intuitive experience. The display features ultra-narrow bezels on all four sides with up to a 90% screen-to-body ratio.

Antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass also protects the display from the growth of odor and stain-causing microorganisms.

In the hardware department, the refreshed notebook is powered by the next-gen Intel Core processors and integrated graphics based on the Intel Xe architecture and optional NVIDIA GeForce MX350 GPUs. It also has up to 16GB LPDDRAX and 1TB of PCIe SSD storage.

The 56Wh battery that powers the Swift 5 can last an entire day and can be fast-charged to give 4 hours of use with 30 minutes of charging.

The 2020 Swift 5 has a USB Type-C, Thunderbolt, and USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports as well as WiFi 6 and Bluetooth for connectivity options. It also has a fingerprint reader for Windows Hello and supports Wake on Voice.

The Acer Swift 5 will be available in October in North America for USD 999.99, Europe for EUR 1,099, and China for RMB 6,999. It’s currently unknown if the new refreshed version of the Swift 5 will be arriving in the Philippines, we’ll just have to wait and see.
