Right on schedule, Vivo finally launched its flagship X50 series. The three – Vivo X50, X50 Pro, and X50 Pro+ all sport a stunning new design, and sport skyrocketing figures in their categories.
X50 Pro+
X50 Pro+ has a 6.56-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and runs on the flagship Snapdragon 865 SoC along with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage.
It comes with Funtouch OS 10.5 on top of Android 10 pre-installed and houses a 4,315mAh battery with 44W fast-charging.
For optics, the X50 Pro+ is the first smartphone that uses the new 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GN1 sensor along with an 8MP periscope camera with 5x optical zoom and allows up to 60x hybrid zoom or as Vivo coins it – Hyper Zoom, a 13MP portrait lens, and an 8MP ultra-wide unit. Upfront is a 32MP snapper.
X50 Pro
The regular X50 Pro has the same OLED display as the X50 Pro+ but gets a downgrade to 90Hz refresh rate and a mid-range Snapdragon 765G. It has 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.
Its 48MP Sony IMX598 main rear camera offers gimbal-like stabilization, accompanied by an 8MP periscope unit with 5x optical zoom, a 13MP portrait lens, and an 8MP ultra-wide shooter. Upfront, it also has a 32MP selfie camera.
X50
At 7.49mm, the non-pro X50 is currently the thinnest 5G smartphone in the market. It has a 6.56-inch 1080+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and packs a Snapdragon 765G along with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.
It shares the same 48MP main sensor as the Pro but uses standard OIS, along with an 8MP ultra-wide unit, a 13MP portrait lens with 2x optical zoom, and a 5MP macro shooter.
All three are equipped with a 32MP front camera. X50 Pro and Pro+ both pack a 4,315mAh battery with fast-charging (33W on the Pro, and 44W on the Pro+), while the non-pro X50 uses a 4,200mAh power pack with 33W fast-charging.
