Huawei has officially launched its latest tablet – the Huawei MatePad 10.8 in China. Some of the notable features of the MatePad 10.8 include 2K resolution supporting display, Kirin 990, a powerful battery, and support for the M-Pencil stylus.
The Huawei MatePad 10.8 has a 10.8-inch IPS LCD panel with 1600×2560 resolution and 280ppi. It is powered by a Kirin 990 SoC accompanied by 6GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage.
In the camera department, the tablet has an 8MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 13MP sensor on the back with f/1.8 aperture. However, it does not have an LED flash.
The new tablet loads with EMUI 10.1 on top of Android 10. The entire device gets its juice from a massive 7500mAh battery cell with support for 22.5W fast charging.
It also has pogo-pin slots on the edges for a keyboard and four speakers tuned by Harmon Kardon. In addition, the MatePad 10.8 has a fingerprint scanner, LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Huawei MatePad 10.8 is available in China in four models a 6GB/64GB Wi-Fi only model for CNY 2,399, a 6GB/128GB Wi-Fi only variant for CNY 2,799, a 6GB/256GB Wi-Fi only with keyboard for CNY 3,599, and lastly a 6GB/128GB LTE model for CNY 3,199. Pre-order has already begun with the device officially hitting the market on August 13.
