The Nubia Red Magic 5S has been teased to feature 320Hz shoulder buttons as well as a cooling add-on.
The Red Magic 5S shares the same 144Hz display with the same 240Hz touch sampling rate as the Red Magic 5G. In addition, it also has two shoulder buttons as its predecessor but the Red Magic 5S has it at a higher sampling rate of 320Hz. The company did this through an industry-first dual-IC solution.
Nubia President Ni Fei has also shared more details about its cooling system that will use silver for its high thermal conductivity. The 5S will also have a built-in 15,000 RPM fan as an active cooler, which at this point, is expected of the Red Magic phones.
If that wasn’t enough cooling, an external add-on was also revealed – the Wind Cooling Magic Box. It has a larger fan which offers more air with less noise. It also has a USB-C port with 30W Power Delivery charging as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack, which will definitely come in handy when gaming in landscape mode.
The Nubia Red Magic 5S will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ SoC with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage with Magic Write technology which is said to optimize reads and writes.
