OnePlus has just announced on Instagram that the upcoming OnePlus Nord will be arriving with Google Messages, Phone, and Duo built-in. These will take the place of the company’s own dialer and messaging apps.

The move will give OnePlus Nord users the benefit of getting the basic features but with the smarter features that Google alternatives offer. We’re interested to see whether or not the company will continue using Google apps by default for its future flagship phones for a more unified experience.
The OnePlus Nord is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC and come with an ultra-wide front camera along with quad cameras in the rear. It is also expected to arrive with at least a 90Hz display with a 6.55-inch display.
Luckily the wait isn’t too long with OnePlus set to unveil the Nord via an AR launch event later today.
