Microsoft has officially confirmed that it is negotiating the acquisition of TikTok operations in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the US. The tech and software company is also expanding the scope to include Europe and India in the deal, according to insiders.
Microsoft and ByteDance (owners of TikTok) were reportedly in negotiations to add India in the deal but it fell through according to Financial Times.
The US-based company said that negotiations will end by September 15, deal or no deal.
