Right on schedule, the new realme V5 was finally unveiled today. Being the first in the new V-series, the device is powered by the recently-announced Dimensity 720 SoC.
realme V5 sports 6.5-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. Under the hood, you get 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage expandable via a microSD card slot.
For imaging, there’s a 48MP main sensor accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide unit and a pair of shooters for macro and depth-sensing. Upfront is a 16MP snapper.
realme V5 packs a 5,000mAh battery with 30W fast-charging via a USB-C port, this means a full charge in 65 minutes. It’s also Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio certified.
As for pricing, it’s CNY1,499 for the 6GB+128GB variant, which makes it the cheapest 5G smartphone available in the market today. There’s also an 8GB+128GB variant priced at CNY1,899. It comes in Silver, Blue, and Green colors.
