Ahead of an audio-centric event from Sony on August 6, a promo video was leaked for the Sony WH-1000XM4 ANC headphones. While the company didn’t quite say what they were unveiling in its initial announcement, it looks like the WH-1000XM4 ANC headphones is at least one of them based on the timing of things.
One of the new features on the XM4 is a wear sensor that pauses the music when you take the headphones off and will resume when you put them back on. In addition, the headphone also has a speak-to-chat feature that momentarily pauses your music when you’re speaking and resume 30 seconds after you’re done. The delay is so the response can be heard still. Another nifty feature is a personalized sound preset depending on location.
The rest of it looks pretty much the same as its predecessor. The WH-1000XM4 roughly has the same design as the XM3 with the same black and ‘silver’ options in addition to the 40mm drivers and 30-hour battery life. The QN1 noise-canceling chip has also been retained. We also see the Adaptive Sound Control that adjusts ANC level and sound volume depending on the activity is also present.

Luckily, the wait won’t be too long now. We can’t help but look forward to the next audio offerings from Sony.
Ram found his love and appreciation for writing in 2015 having started in the gaming and esports sphere for GG Network. He would then transition to focus more on the world of tech which has also began his journey into learning more about this world. That said though, he still has the mentality of "as long as it works" for his personal gadgets.
