Synology has just unveiled its 5-bay DiskStation DS1520+ NAS. It is ideal for data backup and organizing multimedia libraries at home and small office environments.
The new NAS from Synology supports up to 240TB capacity. It has five internal drive bays with support up to 15 via expansion units. In addition, the storage system has dual M.2 2280 NVMe SSD cache slots.
It runs with the 4-core Intel Celeron J4125 chip clocked at 2.0GHz along with 8GB RAM. This makes it 19.8% faster in compute-tasks and 126% faster in website responsiveness compared to its predecessor.
