Motorola has just unveiled its latest foldable device – the Razr 5G, the successor to the 2019 Razr. The Razr 5G continues to build upon the legacy of the Razr phones and improves on a lot of things.
The Razr 5G has a “water repellant design”. Like its predecessor, the updated version has two screens, the outer is a 2.7-inch gOLED display with 800×600 resolution with 370 ppi. On the inside, is a 6.2-inch pOLED panel with 876×2142 resolution with 373 ppi.
The selfie camera is a 20MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture. At the rear is a 48MP shooter with f/1.7 aperture with OIS and laser autofocus.
Powering the new Razr device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Fueling it all is a 2800mAh battery pack with 15W fast charging support.
It also has more apps working with the external screen by default. This includes camera, messages, calculator, Google News, Google Home, and YouTube. The external display also has support for gesture navigation. Out of the box, it runs on Android 10.
The Motorola Razr 5G comes in Polished Graphite, Liquid Mercury, and Blush Gold and will be out in fall in China and “select European markets”. In the US, it will be available unlocked at Best Buy, B&H, Amazon, and Motorola’s online store for USD 1,399.
