Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G Boasts Higher Clock Speeds, 15% Improved GPU Performance

qualcomm-snapdragon-732gQualcomm has just unveiled the Snapdragon 732G slotting just above the highly popular Snapdragon 730G.

Snapdragon 732G is built upon the same 8nm process but has higher clock speeds. The two big Kryo 470 cores now run at 2.3GHz, up by 0.1GHz over the 730G. In addition, the same Adreno 618 GPU now delivers 15% more performance.

It shares the same X15 LTE modem and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity with the 730G. Other features that it shares with its popular sibling are aptX Adaptive and TrueWireless Stereo Plus support and Quick Charge 4+. However, the Snapdragon 732G now supports Bluetooth 5.1.

The built-in Image Signal Processor supports HDR10 and HLG as well as videos up to 4K video at 30 fps. It can also compress HEIF format photos, while the AI accelerator offers up to 3.6 TOPS.

The new processor also has Snapdragon Elite Gaming which enables HDR rendering. In addition, the SoC supports Vulkan 1.1.

POCO will be releasing the first smartphone powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G soon, which is expected to be the POCO X3 NFC.
