It’s a great day for the local Esports industry, as The-AsiaGroup.com.Inc. launches Kalaro. The first fully-integrated and end-to-end gaming and social networking web-app goes live today at 9 PM via Facebook and YouTube.
Originally created by a team of 4 Filipino tech experts and business leaders, Kalaro brings tournament management and corporate brand sponsorship features that will cater to more than 43 million Esports enthusiasts and companies in the Philippines.
Filipino pride, homegrown Esports platform
Kalaro also serves as a virtual community for Esports players, coaches, teams, influencers, team owners, leagues, and Esports fans. Members can meet other gamers, talk about the new trends in gaming, stay updated with upcoming events and tournaments, watch their favorite shoutcasters in live streams, and interact with them in real-time.
Additionally, Kalaro also aims to hone the skills of Filipino Esports athletes to prepare them to compete in both local and international scenes. It serves as central hub for tournaments where gamers are provided a complete facility to launch and manage competitions via the web-app.
There’s also a facility for corporate brands to set up online storefronts. The platform offers a dedicated panel that companies can use to advertise, sponsor, and sell products directly to the usually elusive gamers market.
Kalaro was developed using Google’s Progressive Web App framework running on Amazon Web Services Infrastructure, and crafted in collaboration with corporate tech brands.
- National Computer System (NCS) of Singapore
- ERNI from Switzerland
The platform also received support from local companies like Dragon Pay and Union Bank of the Philippines to make transactions seamless, safe, and secure.
Exciting perks ahead!
Kalaro will have exciting benefits such as merchandise items, battle passes, and up to 200 Kalaro Gems for Beta Users and those who will qualify to be Kalaro Founding Members.
There will also be a ‘Kalaro Founders Cup’ tournament happening this October.
