Lenovo Announces ThinkPad X1 Nano and X1 Fold

Lenovo has just unveiled the latest additions to its premium ThinkPad X1 portfolio – the ThinkPad X1 Nano and the ThinkPad X1 Fold.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Nano

The ThinkPad X1 Nano is the lightest ThinkPad at just 907g. It has a 13-inch Dolby Vision 2K display with 100% sRGB.

lenovo-thinkpad-x1-nano-1Under the hood, it is powered by up to an 11th Generation Intel Core i7 processor with Intel Iris Xe graphics. The combination is said to deliver 2.7x faster content creation, 20% faster office productivity, and 2x faster gaming and streaming. This is coupled with up to 16GB of RAM, up to 1TB of storage, and a 48Wh battery.

lenovo-thinkpad-x1-nano-3The X1 Nano features an updated suite of AI and biometric ThinkShield security features, the first ThinkPad to do so. Among these includes voice recognition and human presence detection.

It also has a Thunderbolt 4 port and four speakers with Dolby Atmos support in addition to four 360-degree microphones. The new X1 Nano can have 5G support and preloaded with either Windows 10 Pro or Ubuntu Linux OS.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold

lenovo-thinkpad-x1-fold-5The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold is the first foldable laptop with a 13.3-inch OLED display. It can be folded up to 90 degrees and can be used either vertically for a laptop-like setup or horizontally for a book-like setup.

The Lenovo Easel Stand and Bluetooth Mini Fold Keyboard

The unique laptop is powered by Intel Core i5 Lakefield processors with Intel hybrid technology. This is joined by 8GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage and a 50Wh battery.

lenovo-thinkpad-x1-fold-1It also has optional 4G or 5G built-in, in addition to WiFi.  It has optional accessories like the Bluetooth Mini Fold Keyboard, the Lenovo Mod Pen, and the Lenovo Easel Stand.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold with Windows 10 is available to order now and will ship in a few weeks with a starting price of USD 2,499. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold, on the other hand, is expected to be available in Q4 of 2020. It is expected to start at USD 1,399.
