MSI has announced that its AMD 400 series motherboards, including X470 and X450, MAX, or non-MAX models will get BIOS updates later on that will allow them to support Ryzen 5000 processors.

This comes after AMD mentioned the BIOS update for selected 400 series motherboards to support Ryzen 5000 series processors. The update is said to be ready in January 2021.

MSI has also released the AMD combo PI bios update for all X570 and B550 motherboards earlier last month.msi-400-series-motherboards-amdAs for the 300 series motherboards like the X370, B350, and A320, AMD’s current official information points out that they are not supported.
