Recording a triple-digit growth in Q3 of 2020, realme has claimed the number 1 spot in the Philippine smartphone market as confirmed by Canalys, IDC, and Counterpoint Research in their Q3 reports – a feat the brand achieved in just two years.
IDC reported that realme Philippines achieved a staggering 962.5% annual growth and was able to capture 25.4% local market share in Q3.
Canalys also reported a 25% market share and 531% year-on-year growth for realme PH, the fastest quarterly growth a smartphone vendor has attained in the Philippine market in 2020.
Counterpoint Research reported the same local market position for the brand which entered the country in November 2018.
So far, realme Philippines has launched four smartphone lines: The flagship X-Series, mid-range number series, and the bang-for-the-buck Narzo and C-series, plus AIoT and Smart Home products that broaden the experience and expand the ecosystem.
realme Philippines attributes its strong market presence to its strong and wide – and still growing network across the country, both online and offline. It currently has 465 kiosks, 119 concept stores, and 5200+ partner stores in key areas, and has established a strong partnership with e-commerce giants Lazada and Shopee.
realme has also forged relationships with key industry players such as Moonton, developer of the smash-hit Mobile Legends. The biggest smartphone-branded online community is also headed by realme Philippines, an avenue it uses for communicating with customers on various announcements, promos, and exclusive events.
Globally, realme continues to be the smartphone industry’s fastest-growing brand with a 132% growth quarter-on-quarter in shipment volume, the strongest momentum among all major global smartphone OEMs, according to Counterpoint Research, with the brand braving a global year-on-year market decline of 4%.
