PayMaya Travel - Beep QRPayMaya is offering commuters, motorists, and travelers a safer and more convenient way to travel as it introduces new cashless purchase options in the PayMaya app. Now, Filipinos will be able to easily pay for their fares and tickets, such as beep QR using a mobile device.

With more public transportation options now available, having a safe and hygienic way of paying for transportation fare is crucial, especially with the holiday season approaching and with more commuters and motorists going out for holiday shopping.

With the newly-launched Travel section in the PayMaya app, commuters can purchase beep QR tickets for the BGC Bus which they can use at the Ayala or Market! Market! Stations in Metro Manila as well as the Topline Express Ferry routes in Cebu.

They’ll be able to easily pre-purchase their tickets even before they arrive at the station and avoid long queues. All they have to do is tap the “Travel” icon in the PayMaya app, choose the route, origin, and destination from the list, pay the ticket amount, and instantly get the beep QR ticket, which is valid for 24 hours.

The beep QR ticket allows commuters to have the QR code in their phones scanned at the station for validation before boarding, so there’s no need to buy tickets at the station.

Commuters can also top up their beep cards for use in other transportation lines through the PayMaya app.

  1. Tap “Treats” on the PayMaya app homepage
  2. Select a beep card load package
  3. Input your beep card number, then tap continue
  4. Wait for a purchase confirmation in-app and via SMS
  5. Head over to a beep e-load station and tap your card to receive the load package.

Safer, more convenient commutes

Motorists can also easily load their EasyTrip or Autosweep RFID accounts using PayMaya, which is helpful especially now that cashless payments will be mandated for vehicles entering the North Luzon and South Luzon expressways.

Those who are looking to fly may now easily go to the Bills section of the PayMaya app to pay for the flight tickets booked with Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific.

These new payment options for travel are on top of the thousands of ways that PayMaya users can pay for transportation fares in taxis, ride-hailing services, buses, train lines, jeepneys, and even tricycles all around the country.
