Qualcomm has announced the successor to the Snapdragon 675. The new Snapdragon 678 is built on an 11nm LLP process and packs overclocked Cortex A76 cores at 2.2GHz, as well as a “better” Adreno 612 GPU.
Most of the chip remains similar to its predecessor. It’s got a Spectra 250L ISP with support for a 48MP triple camera setup with zero shutter lag, or a 16MP dual-camera setup. It also supports displays of up to 2560 x 1080 resolution.
