Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) has partnered with Philippine Seven Corp. (7-Eleven) to power the 7-Eleven Christmas Virtual Run which aims to promote health and goodwill amidst the disruptions by the COVID-19 pandemic. The 7-Eleven Christmas Virtual Run takes place until December 12, 2020.
This is the eighth year for the 7-Eleven Run Series and for the first time has gone online. Going online gives the registered runners the opportunity to complete their race distances from their chosen location – at home, on a treadmill, or in a regular jogging trail – and log their time on a designated website.
“This pandemic has indeed challenged us to think out of the box and look for ways to unite Filipinos for a cause. Together with Smart, we hope to inspire more Filipinos to stay healthy and, at the same time, celebrate the spirit of giving this season,” said Jose C. Ang, Jr., General Merchandise Head at Philippine Seven Corp.
In addition to receiving their finisher kit and complimentary sponsors’ products, participants will be able to help a community this Christmas by voting for their chosen local government unit that will receive gift pack donations from 7-Eleven.
