OPPO has just announced the OPPO A55 5G in China with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset at the helm.
The A55 5G is built around a 6.5-inch LCD panel with an HD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch for its 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera.
On the flip side, it has three cameras headed by a 13MP lens with an f/2.2 aperture joined by a 2MP f/2.4 depth shooter and a 2MP f/2.4 macro camera. These are housed in a vertical rectangular camera module. The device is able to take slow-mo clips up to 720p and records up to 1080p video at 30fps.
The new A-series device has 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage with expansion available via microSD card.
It boasts a 5000mAh battery that charges via a USB-C but lacks any fast charging support. The A55 5G does have a 3.5mm headphone jack, and its fingerprint scanner is found on the right side inside the power key.
The OPPO A55 5G comes in blue and black and is available in China for CNY 1,599.
