DxOMark has posted its audio review for the upcoming ASUS ROG Phone 5 and it excelled.

The ROG Phone 5 claimed the top spot in the charts with a score of 79, this spot was formerly held by the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro with 76 points. The ROG Phone 3, its predecessor, holds the third spot tied with the Huawei Mate 20 X with 75 points.

The device is said to be the I005DA, which was spotted on TENAA last month rather than the I005DB which was spotted later on. The I005DB has a display on the back while the I005DA has a Tencent Games logo although the device DxOMark reviewed had neither of the two.

The device does have two front-firing stereo speakers, Dirac tuning technology, and a 3.5mm headphone jack with an ESS DAC as far as audio goes.

Based on the audio review, it led the category in the dynamic, spatial, and artifacts sub-score tests. Some downsides include slightly weak bass and issues cropping up at max volume. Its recording capabilities are also overall excellent as well.

ASUS is set to launch the ASUS ROG Phone 5 on March 10.
