Huawei has officially announced on Weibo that it will be launching the Huawei Mate X2 on February 22. The Mate X2 is the successor to the foldable Mate XS and has been in the rumor mill for a while now.
The poster teases the display of the Mate X2 which by the looks of it will invert the folding direction of the display to an inward-folding one.
There have been previous reports that mention a diagonal screen size of 8.01-inch and a resolution of 2480 x 2222 and because of an inward display like the Galaxy Z Fold 2, it is expected to have a 6.45-inch external display. The panels are expected to have a 90Hz refresh rate and are supplied by Samsung and BOE.
Other features that the Huawei Mate X2 is expected to pack include a Kirin 9000 5G chipset, Android 10, and a 4400mAh battery with 66W fast charging.
