Microsoft has just unveiled the Xbox Wireless Headset, its first wireless Xbox headset in a while.
The Xbox Wireless Headset is designed to be used on the Xbox Series X or Series S in addition to being used on the PC. The headphones also let you simultaneously connect to your phone so you can hear when it rings and take calls all while still playing.
It has a microphone that can be tucked away when not in use. The microphone uses two beam-forming mics and voice isolation tuning to help in separating your voice from other noise in the background. The earcups themselves can be rotated to adjust the volume of game audio and team chat separately.
The headset supports Windows Sonic, Dolby Atmos, and DTS Headphone:X spatial sound technologies. It weighs in at 312g and said to offer 15 hours on a single charge, while a 30-minute charge will give you 4 hours of playtime.
The Wireless Headset can be used in the Xbox Accessories app. It allows you to tune additional settings on the headset like adjust the equalizer, configure the auto-mute feature, change the LED brightness, to name a few.
The Xbox Wireless Headset can now be pre-ordered at the online Microsoft Store in the US for USD 100, Canada for CAD 130, the UK for GBP 95, Germany for EUR 100, Australia AUD 150, and others.
