Blogger BrandonLKS has just shared his hands-on video with the OPPO X 2021 which shows the rollable device in action.
The video reveals a pretty impressive display with a smooth transition from contracted and expanded mode. The phone uses a flexible OLED panel that can scroll out. This gives you more display real estate without the crease in the middle like in current foldable devices.
Based on the video, it seems like you can either double press or swipe the power button to roll out the display.
It is uncertain what the probable issues that the rollable smartphones will face. Regardless, it is pretty interesting and exciting to see the OPPO X 2021 in action.
OPPO first announced the OPPO X 2021 at INNO Day 2020 late last year as a concept phone.
