Huawei is set to launch its first desktop computer – the Mate Station S in the global market following its announcement in China last November. The company made the teaser in Malaysia, which could be the first market to get the desktop.
The company has redesigned the case itself compared to the Mate Station B515 with a star trail design.
The Mate Station S has dual-antenna Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity. On the front, it offers a USB-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, 1 x USB-C (USB 2.0), and 1 x USB-A (USB 3.2 Gen 2). Around the back, the CPU has a microphone input, audio output, an audio input, an HDMI port, a VGA interface, a USB-A (USB 3.2 Gen 1) port, two USB-A (2.0) ports, and two Ethernet port.
It is powered by an AMD Ryzen 5 4600G processor with 8GB of DDR4 3200mHz RAM, 256GB M.2 SSD, and AMD integrated graphics.
The case of the CPU includes Intelligent temperature control and asymmetrical heat dissipation fins to improve the heat dissipation efficency.
The desktop PC also comes with a 23.8-inch full-view FullHD IPS monitor with a 90% screen-to-body ratio. It is also LED-backlit with a 1000:1 screen contrast and TUV Rheinland certified.
The Mate Station S also comes with a Huawei keyboard specially designed for it. It is built with a metal texture and 2.5mm keystroke. The keyboard also has a touch fingerprint unlock button and a Huawei one-tap share and connect support.
The desktop comes with pre-installed Windows 10 and features Huawei Share and Multi-screen collaboration.
Huawei has yet to announce the official date and price as the company only mentioned, “coming soon”.
