realme has officially announced the realme 8 series comprised of the realme 8 and 8 Pro in an online launch event.

The realme 8 Pro is built around a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a 180Hz touch sampling rate and a peak brightness of 1000nits. Meanwhile, the 16MP front camera is housed in its punch hole.
Around the back, it boasts a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM2 main sensor coupled with an 8MP ultra-wide camera with 119° degree FoV, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP black and white shooter. The rear camera features a Starry Time-Lapse Video Mode, a Tilt-Shift Mode, a Tilt-Shift Time Lapse Video Mode, and Dual-View Video Mode, to name a few.
Under the hood, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G at the helm paired with 6/8GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.
The 8 Pro features a 4500mAh battery with 50W SuperDart Charge. Out of the box, it runs on realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 and features a 3.5mm headphone with a Hi-Res Audio Certification and in-display fingerprint scanner.
The realme 8 Pro is available in Infinite Black, Infinite Blue, and Illuminating Yellow colorways. The last of three features special fluorescent materials and was announced to be offered soon.

The realme 8 shares the same 6.4-inch Super AMOLED panel with 180Hz touch sampling rate in addition to the 16MP selfie camera as its Pro sibling.
In the optics department, the vanilla version switches out the 108MP main camera of the Pro for a 64MP lens but retains the rest of the quad cameras.
It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G95 chipset coupled with 4/6/8GB RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. It boasts a 5000mAh battery with 30W Dart Charge technology.
The realme 8 comes two colors – Cyber Silver and Cyber Black.
Price and availability
The base realme 8 memory configuration of 4/128GB is available for INR 14,999, while the 6/128GB variant is priced at INR 15,999. Meanwhile, the top-specced configuration of 8/128GB goes for INR 16,999.
The 6/128GB variant of the realme 8 Pro is priced at INR 17,999. The 8/128GB variant, on the other hand , goes for INR 19,999.
The realme 8 series will be available to purchase starting March 25.
