Xiaomi has just unveiled the Mi Mix Fold, its first foldable smartphone.
The new foldable device has an 8.01-inch WQHD+ AMOLED when opened up, while folded it has a 6.52-inch AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. Both panels also support Dolby Vision.
Under the hood, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 coupled with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256/512GB UFS 3.1 storage.
The Mi Mix Fold features a triple camera setup with a 108MP main camera joined by a 13MP ultra-wide angle sensor and an 8MP liquid lens telephoto lens. In addition, it has a Xiaomi-developed Surge C1 ISP which helps process faster autofocus and offers better white balance and higher dynamic range.
It boasts a 5020mAh battery with a 67W fast charging support and quad stereo speakers tuned by Harmon Kardon.
Xiaomi’s first foldable device also has a PC-mode that turns the UI into a desktop pc-like look for easier multitasking.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold is available in two memory configurations, the 12GB/256GB variant is priced at CNY 9,999, while the 12GB/512GB will go for 12GB/512GB.
The company also announced a special edition with a ceramic design with even more RAM at 16GB accompanied by 512GB. It will be available for CNY 12,999.
