Razer has just launched the Razer Onyx, a portable USB-C hi-res audio DAC compatible with Android phones, iPhones, PCs, and Macs.
It features ESS DAC, a THX Achromatic Audio Amplifier, and includes a Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) decoder. The combination allows it to play music in standard resolution, hi-resolution, Direct Stream Digital, and MQA.
According to the company, the Onyx THX amp increases the voltage in headphones to two full volts which drives heapdhones with 22 ohms impedance at 180 milliwatts per channel.
A USB-C to Lightning adapter is sold separately if you want to use it for your iPhone.
The Razer Onyx is available for USD 199 via the online Razer store.
