realme has just launched the realme Q3 series comprised of the realme Q3 Pro, Q3 5G, and Q3i 5G in China. The realme Q3 series are affordable 5G phones starting at just CNY 1,000.
realme Q3 Pro
The realme Q3 Pro is the top of the pack as far as the realme Q3 series goes. It is built around a 6.43-inch 1080p+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. The panel also has a DCI-P3 color space, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and a 16MP front shooter in its punch hole display.
Around the back, it features a 64MP main camera with support for 4K video recording at 60fps. This is joined by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro snapper.
The Q3 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chipset partnered with 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
It features a 4500mAh battery with 30W fast charging support which is said to offer a full charge in under an hour. In addition, it has a 3.5 headphone jack as well as a stereo speaker with Dolby Atmos support and Hi-Res Audio.
realme Q3 5G
The realme Q3 5G has a slightly larger 6.5-inch 1080p+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. It has its 16MP selfie camera in a punch-hole and has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
It also has a triple camera setup with a downgraded 48MP main camera but retains the 4K video recording, the 8MP ultra-wide snapper, and the 2MP macro lens.
The Q3 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G with 6/8GB RAM and 128GB of expandable storage via a microSD.
In addition to having a microSD slot, the vanilla model of the realme Q3 series has a larger 5000mAh battery with the same 30W charging support and charger. It does retain the stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio as well as the 3.5mm headphone jack.
realme Q3i 5G
Lastly, the realme Q3i 5G which shares the same display as the realme Q3 but has a lower refresh rate at 90Hz. It also retains the side-mounted fingerprint reader.
Two out of three cameras in the back are retained, the ultra-wide snapper is replaced by a B&W sensor.
The Q3i 5G has a MediaTek Dimensity 700 at the helm with 4/6GB of RAM and 128GB expandable storage up to 1TB via a microSD card.
It also has a 5000mAh battery but has a drastically slower charge with only 18W fast charging support.
realme Q3 series price and availability
The realme Q3 Pro comes in three colors – Gravity Black, Electric Blue, and the phosphorescent Firefly (with a glow in the dark logo). It will be available in a week. On the official store, it starts at CNY 1,799 for the 8GB/128GB option and CNY 1,999 for the 8GB/256GB variant.
The realme Q3 5G is avaialble in Sci-fi Black and Psychedelic Silver colorways. The base 6GB/128GB configuration is priced at CNY 1,299, while the 8GB/128GB option goes for CNY 1,399. Pre-orders have begun but it will be available starting April 29.
Lastly, the realme Q3i 5G comes in Ash Black and Light Blue. Its 4GB/128GB option goes for CNY 999 and the 6GB/128GB option is priced at CNY 1,099.
