HONOR has lifted the curtains off its newest mid-range smartphone – the new HONOR 5 Play is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC.
HONOR 5 Play has a 6.53-inch FHD+ OLED screen. You get 8GB of RAM and either 128GB/256GB of storage. It runs Magic UI 4.0 and does not come with Google Play Services pre-installed. It packs a 3,800mAh battery which may seem not up to par for a 2021 device, but it does support 66W fast-charging, which means zero to full in 35 minutes.
For imaging, there’s a 64MP main camera, along with an 8MP ultra-wide unit, and a pair of 2MP sensors for macro and depth. Up at the front is a 16MP snapper housed in a notch.
HONOR 5 Play comes in three colors – gradient, purple, and black. The base 8GB+128GB model will retail for CNY2,099, and if you want twice the storage, it’ll be CNY2,299.
