Sharp isn’t a brand quite as known for its smartphones especially outside the Japanese market but it looks like the company is ready to launch its latest device – dubbed the Sharp Aquos R6.
Well-known leakster nokishita_c tweeted photos of alleged renders of the Sharp Aquos R6 with a camera system “Co-engineered with Leica”.
The renders reveal deep curved edges and a centered punch-hole camera up front and two cameras around the back. The leakster also mentions that the new Sharp device might be unveiled on May 10.
The Aquos R6 is expected to be the successor to the Aquos R5G launched last year with a Snapdragon 865, a 6.5-inch QHD+ display, and a 12MP quad-camera.
If these are true and Sharp will now have cameras “Co-engineered with Leica”, it makes us wonder what will happen with Leica’s collaboration with Huawei.
