ASUS Philippines has just unveiled its latest ASUS BR1100 education laptop lineup built with students and teachers in distance learning in mind. It is comprised of the BR1100C with a more traditional clamshell laptop and the BR1100F that is able to flip and has multi-touch support.
Both variants features an 11.6-inch display with TÜV Rheinland certification, while its body has a military-grade MIL_STD-810H certification. The latter makes them built for ruggedness. In addition, it has rubber safety grips and a 3D-textured finish, lowering the risk of slips and fumbles.
The surfaces of the BR1100 laptops are also treated with ASUS BacGuard that has been scientifically shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria by over 99% over 24-hours period.
The laptops are powered by the latest Intel Celeron N4500 processor coupled with 4GB of DDR4 RAM and a 64GB eMMC drive for storage. It does also include an additional M.2 expansion slot so you can increase the storage up to 1TB.
They feature a built-in 720p HD webcam with privacy shutter and a AI-noise cancelling microphone as well, making them ideal for online classes and video conferences. Meanwhile, the BR1100C comes with an additional 13MP camera in the back.
For connectivity, the BR1100 laptops offers USB 2.0 Type-A, USB 3.2 (Gen 1) Type-A, USB 3.2 (Gen 2) Type-C with power delivery support, a Gigabit LAN, an HDMI 1.4, and a 3.5mm combo audio jack ports. They also come with an optional 4G LTE slot and an optional microSD card reader.
They pack a 42WHr battery that is said to offers 10 hours of use, enough to last an entire day in online classes.
ASUS BR1100 price and availability
The ASUS BR1100F is now available in the Philippines and starts at PHP 19,995. Meanwhile, the ASUS BR1100C will arrive in the country starting July starting at PHP 15,995.
The new education-based laptop series can be purchased on the official ASUS Shopee store, official ASUS Lazada store, and physical stores.
