Launched overseas last April, the second iteration of Lenovo’s gaming-focused smartphone under its Legion brand has made its official debut in the Philippines.
Legion Phone Duel 2 boasts a 6.92-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ certification, and a 720Hz touch sampling rate for exceptional responsiveness. It also packs a Pixelworks i6 processor to optimize picture quality depending on the content.
Play with the Fastest Hardware
At the helm is a Snapdragon 888 SoC along with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device also packs a 5,500mAh battery in a split design with support for 90W fast-charging. It has two charging ports – one at the bottom and another on the side. The device also boasts the Phalanx Battery Protection system for optimal charging speeds, bypass mode, and overcharge prevention.
The phone uses the revolutionary ATA 2.0 (Advanced Technology Architecture) which allows the phone to sustain its extreme performance by placing the Snapdragon 888 SoC in the center of the smartphone.
For optics, you get a 64MP main camera along with a 16MP ultra-wide unit. A 44MP front snapper is placed on the side housed in a pop-up mechanism, which makes it ideal for use in streaming.
Legion Phone Duel 2 uses a twin-turbo fan cooling system, and also has eight octa-triggers that can be remapped to various actions depending on the game. Other features include dual front-facing stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, four microphones with noise reduction, WiFi 6, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and 4K 30/60fps video recording.
The dual X-Axis haptic vibration linear motors, Dual HaptiX, allows for precise and exquisite touch feedback for the most immersive in-game experience. Legion also provides developers three easy methods to bring haptic feedback into their games (Legion SDK, TGPA, and RichTap).
Dual HaptiX is also capable of syncing with various events in-game, adding to the overall immersion.
