After teasing its launch, Huawei’s most powerful tablet to date, the MatePad Pro 12.6, finally made its official debut in the Philippines.
The new tablet’s 12.6-inch OLED display boasts WQXGA resolution (2560 x 1600) and gives it a 90% screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, a Kirin 9000E SoC is at the helm, along with 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage (expandable).
For optics, the MatePad Pro 12.6 is one of the world’s first tablets to sport three rear cameras and a punch-hole. You get a 13MP main sensor, an 8MP wide-angle unit, and a 3D Depth Sensing unit. Upfront is an 8MP snapper.
The device runs HarmonyOS 2 and packs a 10050mAh battery with support for 10V/4A SuperCharge via a USB-C port. Other features include OTG, Wireless Screen Projection, Bluetooth 5.2, and various multi-screen collaboration tools such as Mirror Mode, Extend and Collaborate Mode.
It also supports the Huawei M-Pencil 2nd Generation and can be used as a second screen. For immersive listening, the device also boasts an eight-speaker sound system, as well as four microphones that can pick up sound from up to 5m.
Huawei Smart Magnetic Keyboard is a full-sized keyboard that features a key travel of 1.3mm for a satisfying typing experience. This magnetically paired keyboard synergizes with the MatePad Pro 12.6 to boost productivity.

Pricing and Availability
Huawei MatePad Pro 12.6 is priced at PhP55,999, and will initially be available via the Huawei official online store and its e-commerce stores on Lazada and Shopee from July 25 to 27.
Early bird buyers will get to enjoy freebies worth PhP17,387 for an additional PhP1. Freebies include the following:
- Huawei MatePad M-Pencil (worth PhP5,999)
- Huawei Smart Keyboard (worth PhP7,999)
- Bluetooth Speaker (worth PhP1,499)
- Huawei Band 4 (worth PhP1,890)
The new tablet will be available in Huawei stores nationwide starting June 28. Those who’ll purchase a unit until July 9 will only need to add PhP1 to get premium freebies worth up to PhP18,035.
