Huawei launched quite a lot at its HarmonyOS event yesterday. Among these include the Huawei Watch 3 series, the MateView monitors, and the new MatePad Pro 12.6 and 10.8 tablets. All of which run on the new HarmonyOS 2.0.
Huawei MatePad Pro 12.6
The Huawei MatePad Pro 12.6 is the company’s flagship offering. The new tablet has a 12.6-inch OLED display with 2560×1600 resolution but has a standard 60Hz refresh rate. It supports HDR 10 content and covers the entire DCI-P3 color gamut.
The larger tablet packs three cameras in the rear led by a 13MP primary lens, a wide-angle lens, and a 3D depth sensor. Meanwhile, up front its camera is found in the middle of the side bezel.
Under the hood, it is powered by a Kirin 9000E chipset with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB of storage. The larger tablet also features eight speakers tuned by harman/kardon and four microphones.
HarmonyOS gives it a more desktop feel to its UI rather than a cluster of apps. In addition, it supports a mouse and keyboard further giving a PC vibe.
It also features mirror mode that lets you link the tablet to compatible Windows-powered Huawei laptops which allow you to use the MatePad Pro as a secondary monitor. Multi-screen collaboration makes it return as well allowing you to mirror your Huawei phone display on the tablet.
The larger tablet packs a 10,050mAh battery with support for 40W fast wired charging, 27W wired wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
Huawei MatePad Pro 10.8
The smaller Huawei MatePad Pro 10.8, on the other hand, has an IPS LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate with the same resolution.
It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 coupled with 8GB RAM and 128/256GB storage. Additionally, it features a smaller 7250mAh battery.
The smaller tablet shares the rest of the features of its larger sibling though. This includes support for the new M-Pencil stylus and smart magnetic keyboard.
Huawei MatePad 11
Lastly, the company also unveiled the Huawei MatePad 11 with a 10.95-inch LCD panel with the same resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It packs a 7250mAh battery with support for 22.5W fast charging support.
It also has a quad speaker setup also tuned by harman/kardon and four microphones on board. The more budget-friendly tablet also supports the new M-Pencil and dhas its own smaller smart keyboard.
