Samsung has just unveiled the latest monitors to join its Odyssey gaming monitor series, namely the Samsung Odyssey G70A, G50A, and G30A.
The most striking feature of the three new Odyssey monitors is that they’re flat panels, compared to the 2020 curved panels.
All three monitors come in black and have a height adjustable stand with tilt, swivel, and pivot options.
Odyssey G70A
The G70A is the top of the line of the three. It has a 28-inch IPS panel with a 3840×2160 resolution and up to a 144Hz refresh rate. It also has a peak brightness of 400nits and 300nits of typical brightness.
The monitor supports VESA DisplayHDR 400 standard, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, and NVIDIA G-SYNC.
It has a single DisplayPort 1.4 port and dual HDMI 2.1 ports. The former allows it to support high resolution and a high refresh rate. Meanwhile the latter lets you connect the latest generation consoles for 4K 120Hz output.
The G70A has Auto Source Switch+ which lets the monitor automatically turn on and switch to the corrent source when a device is connected and turned on.
Odyssey G50A
The G50A, on the other hand, is a 27-inch IPS monitor with a 2560×1440 resolution and up to a 165Hz refresh rate. It supports HDR10 and has a typical brihgtness of 350 nits.
The 27-inch monitor supports FreeSync Premium and is also G-SYNC Compatible certified. As for ports, it has one DisplayPort 1.2 and an HDMI 2.0 port.
The G70A and G50A have additional features like Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture, Low Input Lag Mode, Super Arena Gaming UX, Ultrawide Game View, and Core Sync Lighting. Additionally, they are also said to have 1ms GTG response times.
Odyssey G30A
Lastly, the G30A is available in two sizes – 27-inch and 24-inch. Either size will come with a VA panel with a 1920x1080p resolution and up to 144Hz refresh rate.
It supports FreeSync Premium but isn’t G-SYNC compatible certified nor does it support HDR. For ports, the G30A has a single DisplayPort 1.2 and an HDMI 1.4 port.
Unfortunately, the price and availability for the three new Samsung Odyssey gaming monitors have yet to be announced.
