A report from MyDrivers mentions that ‘foreign media’ that learned from supply chain partners of Apple might be increasing the charging speeds of some iPhone 13 models to 25W.
Currently, the iPhone 12 supports 20W fast charging, which makes the bump to 25W not that drastic. The question is though if there would be a drastic change in price between the USD 19.99 20W charger and the reported 25W charger.
Additionally, this means that iPhone 13 users will need to purchase a 25W charger if they want to maximize the technology with the company removing charging bricks in the box.
The new iPhones are expected to be announced around September. Some speculated features include always-on display features, up to 1TB storage, and a larger camera module on the back. Another report suggests that it may also feature faster wireless charging. The current iPhone supports 15W wireless charging via a Magsafe charger.
