A report by Bloomberg confirms that Netflix is working on a game streaming service similar to Google Stadia or Xbox Cloud.
Netflix hired Mike Verdu, previously from EA and Facebook’s vice president in charge of working with developers to bring content to Oculus, to lead the effort. He has also worked on games like Sims, Plants vs. Zombies, Star Wars, Farmville, and various Zynga games.
According to the report, the game streaming service will be part of the existing subscription offering and come out as a new programming genre.
What is uncertain though is what kind of games the company will be launching. The company has worked with game developers before though as it did for Stranger Things 3: The Game.
