According to a report from MyDrivers in China, Xiaomi’s 200W HyperCharge will begin mass production as early as June 2022.
Furthermore, the report says that the 200W HyperCharge technology could debut on the Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra.
The company showcased the 200W HyperCharge technology earlier in May on a custom Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro. The custom-made 4000mAh battery charged from 0 to 100% in just 15 minutes. However, it was later revealed that 800 charge cycles with the new technology will lower the battery’s recharge health by 20%.
The company never specified when the technology would come so the 2022 expected commercial release would be very impressive. However, it will definitely have to address the issue regarding battery health. How it will do so will be interesting.
