Lenovo Tab P11 5G and P12 Pro 5G Introduced

Lenovo has just unveiled the Lenovo Tab P11 5G and P12 Pro 5G – the company’s first tablets to support 5G. Along with the tablets, Lenovo also introduced the Smart Wireless Earbuds.

Lenovo Tab P11 5G

The Lenovo Tab P11 5G is built around an 11-inch IPS LCD panel with support for Dolby Vision and a peak brightness of 400 nits.

Under the hood, it upgrades the Snapdragon 662 of the vanilla P11 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G that bumps up performance and offers 5G connectivity. The 750G is coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB.

The tablet features a 7700mAh battery with support for 20W fast charging. The battery is said to offer up to 12 hours of video streaming. It charges via a USB-C port that also supports a DisplayPort allowing you to connect it to an external monitor.

The P11 5G has four JBL speakers with Dolby Atmos speaker support. Additionally, it continues to support the keyboard accessory as well as a stylus.

Lenovo Tab P12 Pro 5G

The Lenovo Tab P12 Pro 5G, on the other hand, has a larger 12.6-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display also has a 107% coverage of NTSC and supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+.

The larger tablet is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset accompanied by 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It boasts a 10200mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging but doesn’t come with a charger.

The P12 Pro 5G can be turned into a compact laptop with Lenovo’s full-size keyboard and an integrated trackpad. Moreover, it supports a Lenovo Precision Pen 3 that clips on the tablet magnetically and charges wirelessly.

Project Unity in practice

The tablet runs Android 11 out of the box and is the first tablet to feature Project Unity. Project Unity allows you to pair the tablet with a Windows 10 or 11 Lenovo PC and use it wirelessly as a secondary display.

The Lenovo Tab P12 Pro is available in Wi-Fi-only and 5G options. The Wi-Fi model will be available starting October for USD 610. Meanwhile, the 5G model will be sold in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at EUR 900.

Lenovo Smart Wireless Earbuds

Lastly, the Lenovo Smart Wireless Earbuds features Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) that reduces ambient noise by up to 38dB. It does so with the use of three mics per earbud.

The buds are equipped with 11mm drivers and weigh 4.2g. They are also IPX4 rated making them protected from the rain. The earbuds have tap controls to summon Google Assistant and supports Lenovo Fast Pair and multi-point connectivity.

As far as the battery goes, the earbuds along with the charging case are said to offer 28 hours of use. The buds themselves will give 7 hours of playback or 5.5 hours with ANC on.
