In its continuous push to onboard more users into its platform, Netflix has announced that it will be offering a FREE plan for Android phone users in Kenya.
The plan will be completely free of ads as well, requiring no payment information when signing up. All the user has to do is confirm their email, that they are aged 18 and above, and create their password.
Of course, only a portion of the entire library will be offered for the FREE plan – around a quarter of its movies and TV shows, which is actually still pretty good in my opinion. Users will also be able to take advantage of other features like personalized recommendations, parental controls, and profiles.
Should a user choose to, they can easily upgrade to a paid subscription to enjoy content on other devices like their laptop or TV. Netflix did not disclose how long the free plan will be offered, or if they are planning to offer it in other countries as well.
