Qualcomm has just unveiled aptX Lossless for Bluetooth devices. The technology allows for lossless audio streaming via Bluetooth, but of course, requires both the device and headphones to support it.
The technology helps you scale your audio streaming to up to 16-bit and 44.1kHz. Normally, it streams at 1Mbit/s but it can scale it down to 140Kbits/s if the connection isn’t the best or it isn’t supported.
It is an extension of aptX Adaptive tech that constantly monitors the input, output, and RF environment. It allows you to get the best possible quality and performance.
The first products with aptX Lossless are said to be available towards the end of this year.

That said though, he still has the mentality of "as long as it works" for his personal gadgets.
