You read that right! Windows 11 is now available as a free update for eligible Windows 10 PCs and on new PCs pre-installed with Windows 11.
The newest iteration of Microsoft’s OS brings with it a revamped design as well as new sounds and animations to name a few changes.
One of the biggest visual changes is the location of the Start button and the icons in the taskbar. These are now found in the middle of the bar instead of the more traditional bottom left of the bar. Along with this, windows now have rounded edges.
The new version also has integration for Microsoft Teams and an overhauled Microsoft Store. For multitaskers, Microsoft has added Snap Layouts and Groups to make it easier to keep your different windows open on a single screen.
The company has also added features like Auto HDR and a built-in Xbox app for gamers.
