Following the launch of the Dimensity 9000, tipster Digital Chat Station revealed on Weibo that MediaTek is looking to follow it up with an upper mid-range chipset dubbed the MediaTek Dimensity 7000.
The report mentions that the new chipset is in the testing phase and built on the TSMC 5nm node. Additionally, it is reported to use the new V9 architecture from ARM which was also used in the Dimensity 9000.
Because it is in the early phases, there aren’t many details known about the MediaTek Dimensity 7000. However, Digital Chat Station mentions that it supports fast charging at about 75W. Which is pretty impressive for a mid-range chipset.
