Ahead of the December 23 launch, live photos of the Huawei P50 Pocket were posted on Weibo by fashion magazine Harper’s Bazaar. The photos included multiple angles of the new foldable held by Chinese actress and singer, Guan Xiaotong.
The most striking feature about the device is the stylish textured ripple gold design and a dual-circle cutout that you’d initially think is the same as the P50 series where both circles are for the cameras. However, the second circle in the P50 Pocket is a small display for notifications and help when taking selfies.
The other circle, on the other hand, features three cameras and an LED. The triple camera setup is believed to be comprised of a main camera accompanied by ultrawide and portrait cameras.
Based on the photoshoot, it looks like Huawei is targeting its new foldable device for fashionistas. This means that its design and form factor is more important than the software and hardware.
Despite being what is expected to be a fashion device, the new foldable is still rumored to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 4G chipset.
We expect more teasers and details on the P50 Pocket to come as the December 23 launch approaches though. So it will be an exciting couple of days.
